We have a case of head lice in our year 2 class. Please check your children regularly and only send them into school if they have been treated appropriately. Thank you for your co operation.
I understand that there were ‘difficulties’ this morning in School Lane at drop off time.
We are fortunate to have access to both the Church and Forest car parks unlike many schools in the local area.
I appreciate that whilst our Crossing Patrol is not available many of you now wish to drop your children off so that they do not have to cross St John’s Road unsupervised- which adds to the congestion on School Lane.
Can I please take the opportunity to remind you that residents have every right to park their vehicles on School Lane and usually only do so if they need to go out between 8.30 and 9.00am (as was the case this morning).
I have spoken at length with some of our ‘neighbours’ and would like to reiterate that the most important consideration is the safety of all the children.
An increasing number of children are being dropped off on the yellow lines directly outside the school entrance. This is both illegal and dangerous. Please can everyone be reminded that parking at the junction of St John’s Road and School Lane is also dangerous and obstructive especially as we do not have a crossing patrol at the moment. Children should not be dropped off before 8:40am. Thank you for your co operation.
