Music Lessons

Instrumental lessons at St Johns Autumn term

We have had a brilliant assembly today by Kirsty Nimmo, who is an instrumental teacher from East Sussex Music. She will be offering lessons at St Johns in the following instruments starting this term:

Recorder (from Reception)
Piano (Year 2 upwards)
Flute (Year 4 upwards)
Clarinet (Year 4 upwards)
Saxophone (Year 4 upwards)

Instruments can be hired from East Sussex Music at a small cost.
Group lessons are available which can be a way to keep costs down.
Children will usually receive 10 lessons a term of 20 or 30 minutes during the school day, or maybe after school by arrangement.

If your child is interested in any of the above instruments, please go to the East Sussex website (link below) to apply for lessons. You will then be contacted by Kirsty directly to arrange a parents meeting.

Don’t forget, East Sussex Music already offers violin and cello lessons here at St Johns from Year 1, if you are interested in those instruments. Please apply online in the same way.

Please contact me on if you have any further queries.

Many thanks,

Alice Greening
