Friday 14th November – Fundraising Day

Dear Parents

World Diabetes Day – Friday 14th November

On Friday 14th November, St John’s School will mark World Diabetes Day by holding a “Wear your Onesie to School” fundraising event to support JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation) – the type 1 diabetes charity.
We ask that children come into school wearing their onesie, as part of a nationwide #TypeOnesie campaign, with a donation of £1. There will also be a cake sale held in the hall at 3.15pm on the day.
For Class 6 children, we would please ask that as an alternative to £1, that they bring a homemade contribution to sell at the cake sale (cupcakes, cookies, biscuits etc.) Please see Cheryl Adams if you have any queries on this.
JDRF exists to find a cure for type 1 diabetes and is the world’s leading type 1 diabetes research charity. The charity also specifically supports children and young people who are living with type 1. For further information please see http://www.jdrf.org.uk

Thank you
