St. John’s Festival Children’s Art Competition

St. John’s Festival Children’s Art Competition

Theme: “Sounds Fishy to me!”

Who was Jonah? How did he end up in the whale? What was it like in the whale’s belly? How did he get out? Let your imagination run wild and show us your ideas by creating your own image of Jonah’s story… plus there are prizes to be won too!

Children from St. John’s school have a great opportunity to participate in the St. John’s festival by entering this year’s art competition. The theme is Jonah and the Whale.

Be creative! Show the judges your interpretation of the story and use any medium you like. Last year there were photographs, collages, models, and even computer generated pieces. There will be winners and runners up prizes for Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, and a special discretionary prize for an outstanding piece of work. All artwork will be displayed in the church during the festival.

Deadline for entries: Friday 1st July

Judge: Mrs. Paula Norbury

Winners announced on Sunday 10th July at the Festival BBQ. (12pm in the Vicarage paddock).
